UltimateBet is once again going Caribbean.

The online site has released the schedule for the Aruba Poker Classic 2009, which will take place from October 3-10 at the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa.

More than 550 players are expected to participate in the event, now in its eighth year.

In addition to the tournament, several gatherings celebrating UB’s 10^th anniversary, including the Day One Welcome Party, are being held.

“Aside from winning my 12^th bracelet, the weeklong Aruba Poker Classic poker experience is what I’m looking forward to the most this year,” UltimateBet pro Phil Hellmuth, the owner of 11 WSOP bracelets, said. “Millions in prize money, more players than ever, UB’s 10^th birthday bash and unbelievable parties. I mean, what’s not to love?”

In terms of poker, the lineup includes the $5,500 Aruba Poker Classic Championship, along with four additional no-limit hold’em events. A charity tournament is also on the slate.

Matt Savage, one of the top tournament directors in poker, will once again be managing the proceedings.
