The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino has seen enough. After employing 14 electronic poker tables on a trial basis, the Atlantic City venue has removed the tables from the gaming floor. Installed as a means of driving business, the mechanical devices did not meet expectations. “Poker players like to play with chips,” Jim Rigot, the general manager for the casino, said. “They like to have real cards in their hands if given the chance.” According to Rigot, the most the tables were able to bring in, in a single month, was $45,000.
