Players are getting two chances to help America’s paralyzed veterans. Mike Sexton, Ben Affleck, Andy Bloch, Richard and Kyle Petty, Lee Childs, Montel Williams, and Alfonse D’Amato, the chairman of the Poker Players Alliance, are the chairs for the 2009 Go All In for Veterans Paralyzed Veterans of America Poker Tournaments. The first event will take place February 26th at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The second competition is scheduled for March 25th at the Hyatt Regency Washington, on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The tourney at the Rio has a $750 buy-in, while entry for the Washington event costs $500. Gallery seats are priced at $300. Along with the poker tournaments, there will be opening receptions, a poker clinic and a silent auction. Proceeds will help the thousands of paralyzed veterans in the U.S. Prizes include a seat for the World Poker Tour (WPT) Celebrity Invitational, a trip to Walt Disney World and the Richard Petty Driving Experience in Orlando, FL, and a VIP Race Weekend with Richard Petty, which includes hotel, airfare, access to the pit road and an opportunity to meet Mr. Petty. Among the participants will be paralyzed vets, member of Congress, military and government officials, celebrities and stars from the world of auto racing.
